"Women of Jerusalem, promise me by the gazelles and wild deer, don't awaken love, don't arouse love, until it desires." Songs of Solomon 2:7. Teenagers, you should not submit to love until you are ready. Remember, feelings may change. If you want to put those feelings into rest, focus on God and ask for His help and guidance. As Proverbs 16:3 says: "Turn to the Lord for help in everything you do, and you will be successful." The more you feed yourself with the things of the Holy Spirit, the weaker your carnal (flesh) nature would become. Here is a verse from Ecclesiastes 11:9: "So young people, enjoy yourselves while you are young. Be happy. Do whatever your heart leads you to do. Do whatever you want, but remember that God will judge you for everything you do." Do not entertain love until
you are ready to commit. (Songs of Solomon 2:7) The Bible speak very clear here. Say no to things that can stimulate
your feelings (reading love pocket books, listening to secular love
songs, and watching love stories). "The heart can be very sick, and no one really understands it." (Jeremiah 17:9) Instead, spend time with God and with your family. The more you focus to God, worldly things will become less attractive.
