Have you ever felt no one is attracted to you? Are you confused whether you should stay single or marry? Well if you feel nobody is attracted to you, it is either you would marry or not. Every woman is beautiful. It takes a right man to see her beauty. Scripture says in Proverbs 31:30 and 1 Peter 3:4 "A man will never see her hidden beauty without God's help or assistance." The real imperishable is inside, not outside. So is it better to stay single or find someone to marry? It depends. Better seek God's guidance first. Celibacy and marriage are both gift from our God and is also a choice. (Matthew 19, 1 Corinthians 7) Let's test you by answering this questions. Do you have a heart of stone, not feeling towards opposite sex? Can you control your heart and emotions not to fall in love? Do you not envy lovers? If your answer is yes, then you may have the gift of celibacy.
On the other hand, for those who want to marry, we'll test you by answering this questions. Do you want marriage? Do you need a wife or husband? Why? Can you afford all expenses? (stay together, resolve conflicts and raise children) Is it God's will? Here are some benefits of staying single. The Scripture tells us in 1 Corinthians 7:28-40 that a single man/woman is free from worldly troubles and anxieties. Plus an undivided or undistracted devotion to the Lord. Life is happier according to Apostle Paul. Here are some quotes: "Being single is to be preferred over marital misery." "It is better to be single and keep your goals high; than to be married to a wrong person." God fearing husbands are faithful. They know that their search for the one is over and they are finding new and creative ways to love their wife. Being single is a gift from God. It can be used to bring glory and honor to Him.
If you don't have the gift of celibacy, marriage is an option. How do you know who to marry? You will not know who is exactly the one to marry but t'will come. "Your special gift will surely come." (1 Corinthians 7:7) What should you do know while waiting for the right one? "I will worship God while I am waiting" - Psalms 37:4, Matthew 6:33, 1 Corinthians 7:32-34. Being single and marriage are both gift from God. It is a choice and a decision to make.
