Devotional: Promises and Curses

God has many promises for you. He said in His word, you will have more than enough than what your ancestors had. This gives us the assurance not to worry about what our future may bring. He Himself is with you. The God of Israel gives you courage and strength, and He will never leave you. (Biblical foundation: Deut. 30:5, Deut. 31:5; Psalm 68:35)

But certain promises of the Bible are being referred to as IF-THEN form. If you'll DO his commands, with all your heart, His promises will be for you. All good promises of the LORD will happen to you. BUT choose to disobey the LORD, curse will be upon you. Terrible things will happen to you in the future, if you wanted to do what the Lord God says that is wrong. To overcome, Ask God for wisdom and He'll show you the way.
(Biblical foundation: Deut. 30:6-10; Deut. 31:29; James 1:5)

Remember, Temptations doesn't come from God. It comes from your flesh, fueled by the arrows of the enemy being shot into your mind. Satan cannot read your mind but he can provide suggestions to lure you to sin. We should confess the word of God in this times. Confessing it brings you victory over sin.
(Biblical foundation: James 1:12)

Personal Testimony regarding temptations/lust of the flesh.

In my PC, there's an app on Windows that is called sticky notes. I paste verse there everyday such as this:

You know that when your faith is tested, you learn to be patient in suffering. If you let that patience work in you, the end result will be good. You will be mature and complete. You will be all that God wants you to be.

James 1:3-4

Whenever Satan and his demons suggest an immoral thing (lusting after a woman), I immediately recite that verse and IT GIVES me PEACE and VICTORY! I overcame that temptation through Christ. THE WORD of GOD is so powerful!

So Brothers and Sisters in Christ, I encourage you to confess the WORD of God over your life.
God bless.

Youth: Keep the light shining.

Read Jeremiah 1; 1 Timothy 4:12

Here in the Philippines, most teenagers have a mindset to focus on their GOALS first before GOD. Instead of pursuing their divine destiny, they are heavily influenced by MEDIA, WRONG-FRIENDSHIPS AND INFLUENCES and RESENTMENTS from their PAST. What's the result?
Destruction in the end. Let us examine Jeremiah.

Call to shine your light

We are called to shine His light all over the Earth. Reading Jeremiah, I can compare myself to Him.
Reason? He's young, and when God called Him into ministry, HE DOUBTED.
Have we been trying to hinder God's plan over us by making excuses?

This is Jeremiah's response (from Jeremiah 1:6; ERV)

Then I said, “But, Lord God, I don’t know how to speak. I am only a boy.”

This is God's response (Jeremiah 1:7-8; ERV)

“Don’t say, ‘I am only a boy.’
You must go everywhere I send you
and say everything I tell you to say.
 Don’t be afraid of anyone.
I am with you, and I will protect you.”
This message is from the Lord.

Right mindset and heart

We should remind ourselves that serving God is not boring, God reminds us to have a heart which calls out of LOVE not out of obligation. This is one of the wrong mindset- thinking serving God as an obligations and follow a set-of-rules. It should abound in love.

Encouragements for Youths: Even though you are young, LET GOD use you. Surrender your dreams and desires unto Him.

As what the verse in 1 Timothy 4:12 says:

You are young, but don’t let anyone treat you as if you are not important. Be an example to show the believers how they should live. Show them by what you say, by the way you live, by your love, by your faith, and by your pure life.

Keep your light shining! God bless.

Dreaming with God

This day, let us reflect how to Dream with God.

DEFINTION OF DREAM

Dream- achievement long for, a wish by your heart. It is something we really long for.
Definition of a dream from a dictionary
Dream is something hoped for, usually difficult to attain.

How to dream WITH GOD

1.) God wants you to dream big dreams.

-HE IS LIMITLESS AND POWERFUL GOD

“Lord God, with your great power you made the earth and the sky. There is nothing too hard for you to do."

Jeremiah 32:17

"Nothing is impossible with God"

Luke 1:37

-UNDERSTAND THAT YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD

"The Father has loved us so much! This shows how much he loved us: We are called children of God. And we really are his children. But the people in the world don’t understand that we are God’s children, because they have not known him."

1 John 3:1

"But some people did accept him. They believed in him, and he gave them the right to become children of God."

John 1:12

 2) Keep your dreams in line with His will

We should bring our DREAM to prayer with God.
It should match according with His will.

 3) Oppositions and difficulties will come but God is with you
(Biblical Reference: Deuteronomy 31:6)

Be strong and be brave. Don’t be afraid of those people because the Lord your God is with you. He will not fail you or leave you.”

Deuteronomy 31:6

Yes, I am sure that nothing can separate us from God’s love—not death, life, angels, or ruling spirits. I am sure that nothing now, nothing in the future, no powers, nothing above us or nothing below us—nothing in the whole created world—will ever be able to separate us from the love God has shown us in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:38-39

The Spirit God gave us does not make us afraid. His Spirit is a source of power and love and self-control.

2 Timothy 1:7

Expect great things from God. Attempt great things with God -William carey

Dream big, and I will go beyond that -God

This moment, try to confess to God your dreams.

APPLICATION:

Have a dream journal. Pray for it (the dream) everyday.

Go and Tell

Encouragement: Don't listen to the lie of the enemy that you have not been changed by God. Don't make that an excuse not to tell others about HIM.

So here are three reasons why do we need to tell people about CHRIST.

1.the good news of salvation that people needed to hear.

Acts 4:12 salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven.
Romans 10:9 that if you confess that with your mouth, Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

FACT: About 6.1 Billion people really do not know who JESUS is.
So, are you ignoring God's command to go and tell others about Him?

2. People will be separated from God forever if they don't share or hear the good news of salvation.

We do have physical and spiritual life.
Acts 4:20 for we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.

We have to come to the Lord and see there's a lot of people who don't have Jesus in their lives and share the good news to them. Schoolmates, best friends, family.

2 Corinthians 5:14 Christ love compels us and he died for us that those who live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
Most people today are shortsighted. They are looking temporarily but no long term plans.

3.You and Me are expected by God totell others about the GOOD news of salvation.

Sometimes, we LOVE making excuses. Excuse #1. Excuse #2.

JUST DO IT. STOP MAKING EXCUSES.

Matthew 28:19 therefore make a disciple of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father, the son and the Holy spirit.
Acts 5:42 day after day, the apostles never stopped telling others about Jesus, proclaiming him the Messiah.

If you want to be happy? Make others happy.

Powerful Combination

I command my soul to sing, His mercies are new every morning
His mercies are new every morning

Praise be to God! His mercies are new every morning. Good day for all of us. Did you know just by worshipping and praying to God, It increases the works of the Holy Spirit. The more we praise and live what Jesus has commanded in love, the more we are advancing the kingdom of God! It is releasing the fullness and purpose of God to Earth.

You and the Holy Spirit make a powerful combination

This morning, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what's on God's heart and let Him guide you. He's living inside of you. That's a miracle! You and the Holy Spirit make a powerful combination. When you were slave to sin, you have no power to heal the sick, cast out demons, or resist temptation. We must be more aware of His goodness. The word of God says that goodness follows you all the days of your life. (Psalms 23)

Your guide, comforter

If you got lonely before you got saved,  it takes hours, days or weeks for it to naturally go away. Now that you have Him inside of you, you can just ask Him to take away that emotion by saying "Holy Spirit, thank you for the joy." It will go away rapidly. You must work together with Him.  So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won't be doing what your sinful nature craves. (Galatians 5:16 NLT)

Let me just end this message with this verse:

"But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness."

Galatians 5:22 (NLT)

Serving God (Cont. Efforts in the Lord)

How can you serve God?

Reflect God in your life
Reflect God in your life

1. Reflect God in your life.

Reflect God in your studies, with business and everything you do. Reflect Jesus. Even in your family. What would Jesus do? (WWJD)

2. Invite people to gatherings.

We should not hide that we follow Christ. Look at the people around you. So many people needs Jesus in their lives. Invite them so that they can  know Christ. Share them the word. Make it a lifestyle to invite people for the Lord.

3. Allow the LORD to use you. Make the Lord your first priority.

All of us are called by God. Make Him the first priority of your life, regardless of what's you age.
Have a blessed New Year.

Efforts in the LORD (Part 4)

7. When you serve the LORD, you are already secure.

This is our assurance. When we serve Him, we are already secured.

Phil. 1:6, Jer. 29:11

God is carrying you through.

The next topic deals how can we serve God.

Efforts in the LORD (Part 3)

5. You will have all the resources you need in the Lord.

Ephesians 3:19-20, Psalms 34:10.

6. The Lord will satisfy you.

See Philippians 3:7-8.
If we look back to his life before, he almost had everything. He said all these things in the world are worthless. He gave up everything just to know Christ and who He is.

Among all achievements in your life, they can't satisfy you. Those in the world will want you for more. It's only God who can satisfy you. Only God can give eternal satisfaction.

Part 4 Coming Soon

Efforts in the LORD (Part 2)

PART 1 HERE

3. The Lord does not look at your abilities, but at your heart.

1 Samuel 16:7 What matters most is the heart. Matthew 6:21 Your heart will be where your treasure is.

4. All that we do for the LORD will last forever.

In this world, we give effort to things that last. We give extra effort to our work, studies, career..
If we can give effort to things that last, why not give effort to things that will last forever? What you do for the LORD will be eternal. Let us not miss the opportunity of serving Him. Only in the Lord can we find the true meaning of joy.

Thank you for your love and your goodness, which flows into us everyday. Thank you for another year and we declare financial release, healing and success this coming year. You crown this year God. We offer to you everything
In Jesus name,

Amen

Efforts in the LORD

We should know that we serving the Lord is not boring. Why?

1. Our efforts in the LORD is never wasted.

God assures that. (1 Corinthians 15:58)

2. God will never fail you.

Everytime we give our time to the LORD, if we don't succeed, it does not mean we failed.
We need to do our part for Him. Whenever we serve God, obstacle will come. Continue serving Him and in the end you'll be victorious.

Isn't that powerful? PART 2 HERE

Words and Declarations.

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:21 NKJV

In your tongue, it may speak out life or death. Your words have power. Let us remind ourselves  to have self-control and ask the Holy Spirit to guide us in every word we speak. For example, you're taking a test, and you might say: "This test is hard". Generally, you're declaring that the test will be hard. That negative word can give Satan an open door for him to enter in your life. Brothers and sisters in Christ, let's keep watch in our actions. Don't give Satan an open door in your life.

Declare those Bible verses out loud daily. They are powerful declarations for they come from the word of God itself, which is so powerful that can be used as a weapon for spiritual warfare. Having financial problems? Say out these verses daily:

You are Jehovah-Jireh, my provider (Gen. 22:14)
Wealth and riches are in my house because I fear You and delight greatly in Your commandments (Ps. 112:1–3)
I am Your servant, Lord. Prosper me (Neh. 1:11).
Th e God of heaven will prosper me (Neh. 2:20). I live in the prosperity of the King (Jer. 23:5).
Th rough Your favor I will be a prosperous person (Gen. 39:2).
Lord, You have called me, and You will make my way prosperous (Isa. 48:15).

There are a lot of more promises to be claimed from the Bible. THE BIBLE HAS EVERYTHING YOU NEED. From financial advices, to healing and prosperity promises, and a lot more. You should start or continue to read His word. to  As a testimony, I kept declaring those out everyday and God gave me favor in my job. I got a pay increase. We need to focus on God because he's our provider. Declarations are powerful.

Dealing with discouragements

Good Day! How's life so far? Are you even encountering problems, challenges or disappoinments maybe? The question is, how would you even handle them?

First, we must always remember God's promises.
Humans as we are, we are forgetful. Satan or the devil would really try to steal those promises from God. For example, Satan will make you doubt and question God's word. This is Satan's old trick. We should always remember God's word and proclaim this always. When problems and adversity arises, sometimes instead of turning to God for help first, we sometimes doubt and question Him. We sometimes ask advice from the wrong people or even turn to the ways of this world just to relief or escape the agony of that problem. Just for example, the drunkards on the streets. They just got drunk all day not minding or solving their problems. They asked for advice from their friends and got the wrong one.

An example who trusted God: Job
It does not mean if God sends you problems He does not love you anymore. Everything He does is in line with His Perfect Will.  Did you know that this problems in life strengthen your faith in God.
Even Job in the Bible trusted God when everything in his possession was taken away. In his story, God tested the faith of Job. God took everything of his property and he even got sick. He has the option to just do nothing and drink. He has the option to mock God for the problems and disappointments but he did not. Instead, he praised God for the situation.  Look at his life, when he trusted and praised God for his trials and problems, knowing God is with him, a great breakthrough happened! He even got richer, even got hundredfolds of blessing.

.

Are you tired?

When you are tired of everything and you want to quit, always put this in your mind:

"A good fighter with a great faith in GOD will never ever be a loser"
Be reminded. GOD IS ALWAYS GOOD.

Life Problems

See 2 Samuel 5:17-25.

What battles (spiritual, emotional, physical, financial) are you facing now? What is your usual line of defense? Has it worked in the past? You can follow the steps David took before you wage war. Start by seeking the Lord's guidance. Consider 2 Corinthians 10:4: "We use God's mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments." When you feel fearful, soak in God's presence and stand in the power of his might .

Remind yourself, You are an overcomer by God's Grace.  As it says in John 16:33:

"In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Spiritual Barriers

Do you have these? Spiritual Barriers in Receiving GOD's Blessings
1. Covetous Spirit
2. Rebellious Spirit
3. Worldly Spirit
4. Prayerless Spirit
5. Unforgiving Spirit
6. Critical Spirit

As Psalms 66:18 says:

" If I hide sin in my heart, the LORD will not hear me."
